POETRY WORKSHOP with Colorado Poet Laureate Finalist,
Saturday, October 18, 2014 2:00-5:00 pm
Center for Independence 740 Gunnison Av Grand Junction, CO 81501
Impeccability, Fierceness, and the Word
Wendy will discuss the works of William Butler Yeats, John Keats, and Louise Bogan. She will consider the poetic impulse and how it manifests, the subtle implications of meter, and the natural cultivation of the unique voice in examining "how a poem means." Bring a pen, notebook, and a favorite poem you have created. Wendy will offer critique and feedback of your work during this interactive, dynamic class. You are also welcome to just come and listen.
Please register by calling 970-256-4662 and leaving your name and phone number or by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Free to WCWF members - $20 for non-members for the workshop (you can join at the door or at our web site westerncoloradowriters.org)
